New homeowners might not be familiar with our landscaping guidelines or who is responsible for what on residential lots. Here are some abbreviated tips:
- Rockaway will mow, edge, and blow your lawn.
- Rockaway will trim the hedges around your house that are planted around the original footprint of the structure.
- Landscaping of any vegetation that was planted beyond the original structure – e.g., around an extended lanai – is the responsibility of the resident.
- If a plant in your yard dies, you may replace it with the same plant or a similar plant of the same species without going through the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). If you want to change the type of plant, you must submit a request to the ACC.
- Any plans to redesign a flowerbed in any yard – front, back, side – must be submitted to the ACC.
- Irrigation is the responsibility of the resident.
